Lost in Updateville

I have been told, by a few, that I need to start blogging again. I can't tell you where the time goes, but it defiantly isn't going into blogging. Life has been busy (yea, yea....I know it is an excuse), but that's no excuse not to keep those I love (and keep missing) updated on what is going on in my life. So, here's to promising I will keep up on my blog.

There's been a lot happening in my life since I last wrote. Things are always changing! I guess that's what happens when you are still young and "single".

So, without much detail (to follow)...lets give you a run down.

School has sucked up all my time. Let me re-phrase that. Earth Science (one of my three classes) sucks up all my time. This class has proved to be more work intensive then I thought any other class could be...and it's not even my major. I know...boo hoo, but you would be boo hooing if you spend 10 hours a week on one stupid class!! Needless to say, I am falling behind in one of my other classes (Managerial Accounting) and keeping afloat in the class I hate the most - but starting to love (Algebra).

I have been seeing someone. Okay, I know that's putting it lightly. I have been seriously dating a wonderful Naval Officer who is metro-sexual (you know I how I like those pretty boys), adorable, loving, silly, old and everything that I thought I could ever want in a man. His name is Josh (but he prefers to go by JT). I quoted to a co-worker this week, "I will know in three months whether or not he is right for me." She scoffed, I did not regress. There has been all kinds of developments with this part of my life that can only be told over time. Hang in there....again, I promise to work on my blog.

Other news....my bestie has taken off to PNG. Love her passion for the trip and enjoy reading her blog. If you ever want to check it out... http://www.weirinpng.com/

I am up for a promotion here soon. This brings all kind of joy. Since May, I have found myself working with a bunch of people who are just learning their corporate footing, and pissing me off in the meantime. My job has been everything but challenging and I pray that my meeting today will turn out as fruitful as I think it may.

Miss you guys....updates to follow!

Let the chips fall...

There some things I have considered myself to be, and there are some things I have considered myself not to be. I have defiantly considered myself a confident, assertive, blunt person but never a rude or mean person. I never considered it until someone made me think about it.

I still hold fast to who I have considered myself to be. Details are irrelevant although most of you have already heard the story. God is teaching me a few lessons - some of which I am having a hard time learning. 1. Don't care what everyone else thinks about you. 2. Look at everyone objectively because you never know what someone elses agenda is.

There has been one positive thing that I have come across in all of this and it's realizing how many wonderful people I have in my life. Friends and family have validated that people have their own problems and sometimes they get projected onto others. Some friends are ready to beat some people up! haha. But, needless to say, I am a blessed person when it comes to love.

Patience is a....

Yea, you are thinking virtue while I am thinking pain in my arse. Although I have only been single for 2 weeks, there are already a few things that I have to admit.

#1. I have been drinking, ALOT. Maybe this is my way of coping with the fact that 9 months ago I thought my dating life had ended. I could see my future. What I failed to realize was the fact that the honeymoon stage is always deceiving. You never truly get to know someone until that phase is over.

#2. Even though I swore off internet guys, I signed up for not one, but two internet dating websites. I am partly ashamed but always dazzled at the fact that I could have some dates set up.

None of this is patience. In church today, I swear I could hear God telling me to have patience and that his plan is way better then any plan that I can construct. But its hard....its really hard to sit back and focus on the things I know I should be. Who ever said life was easy?

Now Archive That!

It is so hard to pick up on a blog where you last wrote something about falling in love. It has been months and months since I've written, not because I haven't had funny stories, amazing pictures or exciting news, but merely for the fact that I haven't had time.

But here I am. Back here. Back traveling the road of unsure feelings. Back to the crazy stories of falling for people I shouldn't fall for, not interested in the ones I should be interested in and trying to have enough respect for myself to avoid the Maz/Paul/Adam's of the world.

Wish me luck!
