……of cornhole.
Today, I signed up for Jacksonville Scene and the “sports” game (I use that term very loosely) of cornhole and I am considered a free agent (which means that the first night I am showing up ALONE). For all of those who have not heard of cornhole before…I offer this nice description as provided by the Jacksonville Scene website:
“One of the fastest growing sports in the nation. Known as Cornhole Bags, Soft Horseshoes and Tailgate Toss, the game is similar to horseshoes except you use wooden boxes called cornhole platforms and corn bags instead of horseshoes and metal stakes. Contestants take turns pitching their corn bags at the cornhole platform until a contestant reaches the score of 21 points. A corn bag in the hole scores 3 points, while one on the platform scores 1 point.”
For some reason when I think of cornhole, I think of a hick sport….but at this point in the game (darn puns) I will do anything to meet new people and try to get out of this rut that I am in.
“Even if it means throwing a bean bag into a hole….,” she says with an unsure look on her face.

I love cornhole and love the fact that you joined a league! We were debating getting a set for up here to play when the weather gets better... maybe by then you'll be a pro!
