I often wonder what types of changes people go through to make them who they are today. Let's admit, most of the people that you see everyday, talk to everyday and sometimes share details about your personal life with (sometimes against your better judgement) has undergone major changes in their lives. But, whatever it is, whatever they have been through, it has made them who they are today.
I think back to the things that has shaped me as a person. The main thing that sticks out is my divorce and the pain that I had to go through. But, that's not the only thing. The shaping started earlier then that. If I had to pick the time frame I felt that I was starting to change as a person it had to be the multiple youth groups and activities I was involved in throughout high school. I think the years have been good to me and I am pretty content with the person I am.
I think about the stories that Chris has told me. I have promised not to share, but I look at how amazing he is now and can't help but thank God for what he has been through. It has shaped him to be the type of man he is now.
Good or bad, what happens to us (life experiences) mold us into the people that you see today. I know that I will look back over this blog, 10 years from now and think that I still had so much growing to do and how future events (that I don't even know about) has shaped me into the person I will be in the future.
