I haven't provided an update on how things are going at the gym. The overwhelming response (3 people - I know who you are) said that I should introduce myself. Friday night, that's just what I did. After a resounding cat call (I am so ashamed of myself), I introduced myself and had an all but 5 minute conversation (in which I found out that he has a Biology degree, was pre-med and has worked at the gym for 3 years).
I was hoping that Sunday would prove to me if he was really taken or not (because I didn't come out and ask and I saw him leaving the gym on Friday with a girl - gasp!). If he started convo with me, then I knew for sure he was interested.
He didn't work.
Monday was an off day.
Last night, I went to work out and my two favorite trainers were working - my crush and my not so crush. I walked past my crush and he actually said hey and in a tone of voice different from the other times. This time it seemed more high pitched, friendly...interested to see me. Made me get butterflies and hoping that this was the move in the right direction. Of course, my not so crush has no problem coming and talking to me for 15 minutes so during the chat session with him, my crush watched from afar. And then my convo with Allison (co-worker), he watched from afar. Get the pattern here? Needless to say, I left the gym without more then just a "hey". So, I've downgraded that "hey" to him just being friendly. And the staring? Well...I should just downgrade that to stalking (haha). Yea, who am I one to talk?!?
I won't be back to the gym until Monday. I am jet setting off to the nice cold land of CHI town where Candace will join me tomorrow night for the weekend. Its time to put my crush, not my crush and eating healthy behind me for 5 days.
Chicago....here I come! (Hope you're ready!)
